Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a specialized section providing comprehensive and continuous care for patients who are critically ill or in an unstable condition. The unit manages critically ill patients admitted under various specialties such as trauma and cardiology.
Healthcare professionals who work in the ICU provide around-the-clock intensive monitoring and treatment of patients seven days a week. Services for unstable to critically ill patients are determined by guidelines formulated for staff to ensure that the criteria for admission and discharge to the Intensive Care Unit are comprehensible.
Our facilities are state-of-the-art with common, private and isolation beds, providing specialized monitoring equipment and constant access to highly trained nurses with a high degree of medical expertise. These nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) and Immediate Life Support (ILS).
The ICU has an in-house 24 hour specialist who responds to all emergency calls in the hospital. The department attends to approximately 50 patients per month.
